Student learning ADCA at NETWORK NET ADCA – Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications

About the ADCA course

ADCA stands for Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications. It is one of the most complete computer courses you can take after school, because it combines office skills, accounting, graphic design and programming in a single programme. At NETWORK NET the ADCA course runs for about 12 months, divided into three semesters, and ends with a project.

Semester 1 builds a strong office and accounts foundation: computer fundamentals and the operating system, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), Advanced Excel, financial accounting, Tally with GST and Busy accounting software. Semester 2 moves into design with InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDRAW and Photoshop. Semester 3 introduces programming, where you choose a track: C and C++, or HTML, CSS and JavaScript, followed by Core Java, or Core PHP with MySQL. The semester ends with a project that brings your skills together.

Because it covers so much ground, ADCA suits students who want a broad base before deciding on a specialisation, and people who want to be useful in many kinds of office. For more detail on eligibility and career paths, read our ADCA syllabus, duration, eligibility and career guide.

How the training works

A year-long diploma needs steady progress, so the course is organised semester by semester with regular practice and checks.

  • Practical classes: every topic is practised on the computer in class, not just explained.
  • Small batches: a low number of students, so trainers can follow each person’s progress.
  • Flexible shifts: morning, afternoon, evening and weekend batches that fit around school, college or work.
  • Assignments: letters, spreadsheets, accounting entries, designs and programs after each topic.
  • Module tests: tests after each subject so gaps are found early, not at the end of the year.
  • Final project: a semester 3 project in your chosen programming track.
  • Doubt-clearing: time with trainers to resolve questions and revise weak areas.

Note: ADCA is a diploma awarded by NETWORK NET on completion of the course assessments. Ask our counsellors about the current semester schedule when you enquire.
