Effective date / last updated: 14 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NETWORK NET (“NETWORK NET”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a computer training institute based in Delhi, India, collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal data when you visit networknets.com (the “Website”), send us an enquiry, enrol in a course or otherwise deal with us. It also explains the choices and rights you have. We have written it in plain language so that students, parents and guardians can understand it easily.
Please read it together with our Cookie Policy and Terms & Conditions.
In short: we collect only the information we need to answer your enquiries, manage admissions and course bookings, run our classes and keep the Website secure. We do not sell your personal data. Optional analytics run only if you agree through our cookie banner, and you can contact our Grievance Officer at [email protected] at any time.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
NETWORK NET is the entity responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is processed through the Website and in connection with our training services. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) we act as a “Data Fiduciary”, and under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) we would be the “controller” for the purposes described in this policy.
- Name: NETWORK NET
- Location: Delhi, India
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: +91 93500 90607
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal data we collect through the Website (including its forms, enrolment pages and shop), when you call, email or visit us, and while you are enrolled as a student. It does not apply to third-party websites or payment gateway pages, which have their own privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Enquiry, call-back and course-information forms: when you use our forms (built with the Contact Form 7 plugin) we collect your name, email address, phone number, the course you are interested in and any message you choose to write.
- Admission and enrolment details: when you enrol online or at the institute, we may collect your name, contact details, date of birth or age, educational background, preferred batch timing and, for students under 18, the name and contact details of a parent or guardian.
- Online orders: when you book or pay for a course through our WooCommerce-based shop, we collect billing details such as name, email, phone number, billing address (if requested at checkout), order details and transaction references.
- Account information: if you create an account on the Website, we store your username, email address and an encrypted (hashed) password.
- Exam registration details: if you ask us to help you register for a third-party examination such as the NIELIT CCC exam, we may collect the details that the examining body requires, such as identity details and a photograph. We collect these only when you request this help.
- Communications: records of emails, messages and feedback you send us.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Technical and security data: our security plugin, Wordfence, logs IP addresses, browser (user agent) information, the pages requested, and the date and time of visits in order to detect and block malicious traffic, brute-force login attempts and other attacks.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use strictly necessary cookies to run the Website (for example, to remember your cart or keep you logged in) and a consent cookie to remember your cookie choices. Optional cookies are used only with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for details.
- Analytics data (optional): the Website may use privacy-respecting analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) only with your consent through the cookie banner. If you consent, information such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address), device type and referring website may be collected in aggregated or pseudonymised form.
3.3 Payment information
Payments made through the Website are processed by third-party payment gateways. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password. We receive only limited information from the gateway, such as the transaction ID, payment status, amount, date and, in some cases, the last few digits of the card or the payment method used.
3.4 Information we do not intend to collect
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health data, religious beliefs, caste, biometric data or financial account passwords through the Website. Please do not include such information in form messages. Fonts, icons and scripts on the Website are hosted locally on our own server, so loading our pages does not send your IP address to Google Fonts or similar font services.
4. How and why we use your information
The table below sets out the main purposes for which we use personal data and the legal grounds we rely on. Under the DPDP Act, we rely mainly on your consent or on certain legitimate uses permitted by Section 7 (for example, where you voluntarily provide data for a specified purpose). You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing [email protected], or, for cookies, by using the cookie preferences option on the Website. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal, and if you withdraw consent needed for a service (for example, enrolment), we may not be able to continue providing that service.
6. Children and students under 18
Many of our learners are school or college students. Under the DPDP Act, a “child” is a person under 18 years of age, and verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian is required before processing a child’s personal data. Accordingly:
- if you are under 18, please ask your parent or guardian to submit enquiries or enrol on your behalf, or to provide consent at the time of admission;
- we may ask for the parent’s or guardian’s details and confirmation before completing enrolment;
- we do not carry out tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children; and
- if we learn that we have collected a child’s data without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it or obtain the required consent.
7. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below and only to the extent necessary:
- Service providers (Data Processors): our website hosting provider, email service providers and IT support who help us operate the Website, under contractual obligations to protect the data and use it only on our instructions.
- Payment gateways: to process online payments and refunds. The gateway processes your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Examining bodies: if you ask us to help you register for a third-party exam such as NIELIT CCC, we share the information required by that body.
- Analytics providers: only if you have consented to analytics cookies.
- Legal and regulatory authorities: where required by law, court order or a lawful request from a government agency, or to protect our rights, students, staff or the public.
- Professional advisers: such as chartered accountants and lawyers, under confidentiality obligations.
8. International transfers
We are based in India. Our hosting, email and other service providers may store or process data in India or in other countries. Where data is transferred outside India, we do so in accordance with the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, please note that your data will be transferred to and processed in India, which has not been the subject of an adequacy decision; where the GDPR applies to our processing, we will rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses where our providers offer them) or on the transfer being necessary to provide the services you have asked for.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Typical retention periods are shown below.
| Type of data | Typical retention period |
|---|---|
| Enquiry and call-back form submissions (where you do not enrol) | Up to 12 months from the last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner |
| Student admission, attendance and certificate records | For the duration of the course and up to 5 years afterwards, so that we can verify certificates and answer queries from former students |
| Order, invoice and payment records | As long as required under applicable tax and accounting laws (generally up to 8 years) |
| Website account data | Until you ask us to delete the account, or after 24 months of inactivity |
| Security logs (Wordfence) | Generally a few weeks to 12 months, depending on the type of log and security needs |
| Cookie consent record | Up to 12 months, after which the banner asks you again |
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it securely. We may keep data longer if needed to deal with a complaint, a legal claim or a requirement of law.
10. How we protect your information
We follow reasonable security practices and procedures in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the security safeguards required under the DPDP Act. These include:
- HTTPS (TLS) encryption for data sent between your browser and the Website;
- the Wordfence web application firewall and malware scanning, which block known malicious traffic and limit login attempts;
- WP Hide & Security Enhancer to reduce the exposure of technical details that attackers could misuse;
- hashed passwords, role-based access to the WordPress dashboard and strong administrator credentials;
- regular updates of WordPress, themes and plugins, and backups; and
- limiting access to student records to staff who need it for their work.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will contain it promptly and notify affected individuals and authorities (such as the Data Protection Board of India and CERT-In) where required by law.
11. Your rights under Indian law
Subject to the DPDP Act and the rules made under it (as and when the relevant provisions are in force), you have the right to:
- Access information: obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you, the processing activities, and the identities of other Data Fiduciaries and Data Processors with whom it has been shared;
- Correction, completion and updating: ask us to correct inaccurate or misleading data, complete incomplete data and update your data;
- Erasure: ask us to erase data that is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, unless we must keep it to comply with law;
- Withdraw consent: at any time, as explained in Section 5;
- Grievance redressal: raise a grievance with us, and if it is not resolved satisfactorily, approach the Data Protection Board of India; and
- Nominate: nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
Please also keep in mind your duties under the DPDP Act, such as not providing false information or impersonating another person, and not filing frivolous complaints.
12. Rights of visitors in the EEA and the UK (GDPR)
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data, you have the right to:
- access your personal data and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data rectified;
- have data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- receive your data in a portable format and have it transmitted to another controller, where technically feasible;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing; and
- lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement took place.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
13. Rights of California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
NETWORK NET is a small training institute in India and we do not believe we currently meet the thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), mandatory for us. Nevertheless, we respect the privacy of California residents and provide the following information.
- Categories, sources and purposes: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (orders), education information (enrolment records) and internet activity (security logs and, with consent, analytics), collected and used as described in Sections 3 and 4.
- No sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16.
- Sensitive personal information: we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA.
- Your rights: you may request to know what personal information we have collected, to delete it, and to correct inaccurate information. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing, where applicable.
You or an authorised agent may submit a request by emailing [email protected]. We will need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
14. How to exercise your rights
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us your name, the contact details you used with us, and the right you wish to exercise. We may ask for reasonable information to confirm your identity, and in the case of a child, the identity of the parent or guardian. We do not charge a fee for reasonable requests. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (for example, within one month under the GDPR, which may be extended in limited cases, and within 45 days under the CCPA where it applies). If we cannot fully comply, we will explain why.
15. Grievance Officer
