About the Graphic Designing course

Logos, visiting cards, brochures, social media posts, packaging, banners and magazine pages all begin with a graphic designer. The Graphic Designing course at NETWORK NET teaches you to create these designs with the software used in studios, print shops, publishing houses and marketing teams. Over about four months you learn five design programs and finish by building a professional portfolio of your own work.

You start with Adobe Photoshop for photo editing, retouching, compositing and social media graphics. Next comes Adobe Illustrator for vector artwork such as logos, icons and illustrations that stay sharp at any size. CorelDRAW is covered because it is still widely used in Indian print and signage businesses for flex banners, stickers and visiting cards. For multi-page layouts you learn Adobe InDesign, the standard tool for brochures, magazines and books, along with PageMaker, an older layout program that Adobe no longer develops but which you may still meet in some DTP and printing setups. The last module, Portfolio Designing, helps you select and present your best work.

Along with the software, you learn the design basics that make work look professional: layout, alignment, colour, typography, and preparing files correctly for print and for screens. If you are unsure how these programs differ, read our comparison of graphic design software.

Who should join

  • Students after 10th or 12th who enjoy drawing, colours or creative work

Tools and software you will use

  • Adobe Photoshop: photo editing, manipulation and digital graphics
  • Adobe Illustrator: vector design, logos and illustrations
  • CorelDRAW: print and signage design, popular in local print businesses
  • Adobe InDesign: multi-page layouts for print and digital publications
  • PageMaker: legacy desktop publishing for older files and setups
  • PDF export and print settings: preparing files for printers and clients

How the training works

  • Practical classes: each tool is demonstrated and then practised on real design tasks during class.
  • Small batches: a low number of students, so the trainer can review your designs and suggest improvements.
  • Flexible shifts: morning, afternoon, evening and weekend batches.
  • Assignments: logos, visiting cards, posters, social media posts, brochures and magazine pages.
  • Module tests: practical tests after each software module to check your speed and accuracy.
  • Final project: a complete portfolio that shows your range across all the tools.
  • Doubt-clearing: dedicated time for your questions and feedback on your own work.

Tip: Employers usually judge designers by their portfolio more than by marks. Our guide on building a design portfolio that gets you hired explains what to include.
