About the Tally with GST course
Every shop, trading firm, factory and service business has to keep accounts, manage stock, pay staff and follow GST rules. In India, a large number of these businesses use Tally to do it. The Tally with GST course at NETWORK NET teaches you accounting from the basics and then shows you how to do the full range of accounts work in Tally, so that you are ready for accounts and office jobs. The course runs for about three months.
You begin with the basics of accounting: types of accounts, the rules of debit and credit, and the double entry system. You then learn Tally step by step: creating a company, accounting masters (groups and ledgers), inventory masters (stock groups, categories, units, godowns and stock items), and all the main types of voucher entry and invoicing. Advanced topics include bill-wise details, cost centres, multiple currencies, interest calculation, budgets, bank reconciliation, order processing, reorder levels, batch-wise details, bills of material, price lists and POS billing.
A large part of the course is about taxes: GST on intrastate and interstate supplies, HSN and SAC codes, nil-rated and exempt items, capital goods, imports and exports, different tax rates in one invoice, GST reports and return data such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, along with TDS and TCS. You also cover payroll, security and data management features, and all the important reports from the day book and trial balance to the profit and loss account and balance sheet.
Tally ERP 9 and TallyPrime: Our syllabus was written around Tally ERP 9 and its concepts. Tally Solutions’ current product line is TallyPrime, which has a newer interface but uses the same accounting logic, masters and vouchers. We teach on TallyPrime as well, so you can work comfortably with whichever version an employer uses.

How the training works
- Practical classes: every concept is practised on the computer with sample business transactions.
- Small batches: a low number of students, so trainers can check your entries and explain mistakes.
- Flexible shifts: morning, afternoon, evening and weekend batches, useful for students and working people.
- Assignments: voucher entry exercises, GST invoices, payroll and report preparation.
- Module tests: a practical test after each part of the syllabus.
- Final project: maintain the complete books of a sample business, from company creation to final accounts and GST reports.
- Doubt-clearing: sessions to go over GST, adjustments and reports that students find difficult.
