About the Web Designing & Development course
Every business, school, clinic and shop now needs a website, and someone has to plan it, design it, build it and keep it running. The Web Designing & Development course at NETWORK NET teaches you to do exactly that. Over about six months you move from writing your first HTML page to building a database-driven website in PHP and MySQL, and you finish by putting a real project online on your own domain and web server.
The course is split into three parts. In Web Designing you learn HTML for structure, CSS for layout and styling, and Photoshop for preparing images and page mock-ups. In Web Development you add JavaScript and jQuery for interactivity, Bootstrap for responsive layouts that work on phones, and PHP with MySQL for forms, logins and content that is stored in a database. You also get an introduction to the MVC pattern using the CodeIgniter framework, which is how most professional PHP projects are organised. The final Live Project takes one real use case from idea to launch, including how to configure a domain and set up a web server.
You do not need any coding background to start. We begin from the basics and build up step by step, with practice on every topic. If you want a sense of the learning path before you join, read our HTML, CSS and JavaScript roadmap for beginners.
Who should join
- Students after 10th or 12th, or college students, who want a practical, job-oriented skill alongside or after their studies
- Graduates from any stream who want to move into IT, web or digital roles
- Small business owners who want to build and manage their own website
- Graphic designers who want to turn their designs into working web pages
- Anyone planning to freelance or take on website projects from clients
Basic computer use, such as typing, saving files and browsing the internet, is helpful. If you are completely new to computers, consider starting with our Basic Computer course first.
What you will be able to do after the course

- Understand the MVC structure and build a small application with CodeIgniter
- Point a domain to a server, upload files, create a database on hosting and take a website live
- Present a finished live project to employers or clients
Tools and software you will use
- A code editor such as Visual Studio Code for writing HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
- Web browsers and their developer tools (Chrome, Firefox or Edge) for testing and debugging
- Adobe Photoshop for image editing and layout mock-ups
- Bootstrap and jQuery libraries for responsive layouts and scripting
- A local server package such as XAMPP to run PHP and MySQL on your own computer
- phpMyAdmin for creating and managing MySQL databases
- CodeIgniter as the PHP framework for MVC practice
- A hosting control panel and FTP client for uploading and configuring the live project
How the training works
Classes at NETWORK NET are practical. Each topic is explained by the trainer and then practised immediately on the computer, so you write code in every session rather than only taking notes.
- Small batches: a low number of students per batch, so the trainer can check your code and help you individually.
- Flexible shifts: morning, afternoon, evening and weekend batches, so you can fit classes around college, work or home.
- Assignments: after each topic you build something, such as a page layout, a form or a small database feature.
- Module tests: short tests at the end of each module show what you have understood and what needs revision.
- Final project: a complete website built and published on a live domain and server.
- Doubt-clearing: time is set aside for your questions, and trainers help you fix errors in your own projects.
Tip: Keep every assignment and your final project. Together they form a portfolio you can show at interviews or to freelance clients.
